Our 2 doodles had an amazing time here during their 9 day stay! Jean sent pictures daily and provided updates on how our girls were doing. Word of advice, pack extra food! The pups play a lot so they eat more than they normally do at home. At one point our dogs ran out of food and Jean and her husband went above and beyond by picking up a bag of food for our girls at a local store. As an added bonus they offer transportation from Las Vegas to Pahrump as well as an option to get them bathed at the end of their stay so that they come home squeaky clean! We will absolutely be using their services again in the future.

First time leaving our dog ever, and he had an amazing time at Jean’s! I was nervous not only to leave him in someone else’s care, but that he wouldn’t make any doggie friends. I worried for nothing. Jean scheduled a meet and greet at her property since we were first timers, and she was kind, communicative, patient and helpful - answering any and all questions and concerns I had. She sent me daily “pupdates” via text and pictures. She and her husband were wonderful to our dood, treating him as one of their own. Scheduling pickups and drop offs were a breeze - they were so flexible with our schedule, even on a holiday weekend! We are confident in using their service, and will do so again. Thank you, Jean! Highly recommend!

I love Greg and Jean! They both are the best and the only people I can trust where I can leave my dog with them. I don’t need to worry about my dog because they send me update all the time. There was one time they text me at 1 in the morning because my dog gave them quite scare as they thought my dog was sick and they immediately isolated him away from other dogs and watch him all night to ensure he was ok! I always reccomend my family and friends to put their dogs with Jean’s.

What a great place for doggie care! Jean and her husband took amazing care of my 2 furries for their first ever trial run. Her communication (with pictures) is second to none and my dogs had a great time. They’ll be going back soon to stay at the retreat during our trip and I’m confident they’ll be perfectly taken care of. They love their fur clients and they have such a big heart for them and their well being. Look no further…​

whoever recommended and told me about Jean's Ruff Ruff Retreat you are a LIFESAVER. if you are looking for a place to board/daycare for your pup, i cant emphasize it enough, PLEASE pick Jean.
ive expressed many times what a timid dog Enzo is & how he completely lost his confidence.
enzo was so timid and scared of other dogs and i completely lost hope of him ever being comfortable around other dogs, ive spent days & nights stressed, tired, crying, praying that one day he would be able to even be in the same room with other dogs without climbing on top of me and crying.
we did a meet & greet with Jean & enzo was scared and about 15 mins in, he became a completely different dog. he sniffed, he ran, he potty-ed all over her yard (if you dont know thats a good sign) , he did "normal" dog things.
we decided he could stay a couple nights there to see how he does (by the way, the DAY OF i messaged jean that i needed him to come earlier than expected, she had her driver meet me in the same hour... talk about accommodating!!!!)
i cried the whole way driving him, i knew he would cry, bark, howl & not make any friends per usual. i knew he would run away and hide & had a strong feeling i might have to pick him up, i felt like i was putting him in a situation he could not handle.
let me tell you, i was WRONG! i couldnt have been more wrong.
jean kept me updated multiple times throughout the day per my request, enzo was a completely different dog. his tail was up in every picture she sent, he was smiling, he was near by all the dogs. he looked like a natural!
im sorry for my extremely long post, but i need you guys to understand how life changing this ONE stay with Jean was, this is not an exaggeration. we could not take enzo many places that other dogs could be at because his fear was so heartbreaking.
jean & family, thank you for all you do. thank you for making the biggest difference in our lives. thank you for loving my baby & letting him know that he is safe and loved always.

ps. my dog is a finicky eater & jean took the time to sit there every meal and hold enzo's bowl to ensure he ate. with 10+ dogs & the work load they have, doing that means the world to me.
